Bridgeport Dentist Receives Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award

Philip J DejesusThe Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that Phillip J. DeJesus, DDS, FAGD, FICOI of Bridgeport, CT, received the association’s Fellowship Award during the AGD 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held from in Nashville, Tenn.

The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. DeJesus completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD.

As a Fellowship Award recipient, Dr. DeJesus joins more than 6,900 active AGD Fellows who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients’ oral health.

“We are proud to honor Dr. DeJesus for his commitment to the profession,” says AGD President Linda J. Edgar, DDS, MEd, MAGD. “He has distinguished himself professionally among his peers and is a role model for both fellow dentists and community members of Bridgeport.” Dr. DeJesus graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1992 and currently practices dentistry in Bridgeport. He and his wife, Kim, have four children, PJ, Joey, Nicky and Bella.
