Phillip J. DeJesus, DDS, MAGD, FICOI – General and Implant Dentist
Dr. Phillip J. DeJesus earned his Bachelor of Science in biology in 1988 from Fordham University. He went on to graduate from SUNY Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in 1992. His drive led him to St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City, where he spent two years in one of the most demanding general practice residencies in America. He served as Chief Resident there in 1994 and remained on staff for several years after he left the program to help instruct the students who came after him.
Peter Yelizar, DDS
Dr. Peter Yelizar is our newest doctor. He joined DeJesus Dental Group in 2013. After earning a bachelor of arts degree in only three years from Queens College, Dr. Yelizar took a break from the books so that he could travel and explore his passion for photography. He soon returned and earned his doctoral degree from New York University College of Dentistry. During his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Dr. Yelizar learned to merge his loves of science, art, and altruism in order to create gorgeous smiles like those he captured on film during his travels.
Isaak Yelizar, D.D.S. – Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Isaak Yelizar graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry with highest honors. He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and earned several scholastic awards. He then moved on to a general practice residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he fell in love with orthodontics. His hard work led to an orthodontic residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital. Dr. Yelizar is very proud to be a board certified orthodontist, an honor bestowed by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Virginia Graicerstein, DDS
Dr. Virginia Graicerstein graduated in 2003 obtaining her DDS degree from New York University in New York, NY.
Prior to obtaining her degree from NYU she had already received an equivalent degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica-RS in Brazil, where she also had a practice for close to 10 years.
Right after completion of her degree in Brazil, she attended a 2 year intensive general practice residency where she treated many patients in the diverse areas of dentistry including cosmetic, restorative and oral surgery.
Dr. James E. Pucci, DMD
Dr. James E. Pucci graduated from Yale University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology. In 1991, he earned his doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In that same year, Dr. Pucci entered a specialized residency program in periodontology and implantology. He graduated from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in 1993 where he received his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in periodontology.
