DeJesus Dental Group recently celebrated 25 years of serving the Fairfield County community. While our Bridgeport location has always been a pillar of dental excellence, we saw the need five years ago for an additional location to bring our services to more members of the community.

The town only received its current name about 100 years ago, and before then was known as Coram (a part of Stratford). Having the confluence of the Naugatuck and Housatonic Rivers allows Shelton to use waterpower and establish itself as a leader in manufacturing throughout the years. Shelton has become a place where families grow, leaders develop and its citizens are supported. Year after year, the area sees growth and new businesses opening in the area.

First established in 1995, DeJesus Dental Group has been a pillar of excellence in dental care for over 25 years. When it was decided to expand to a second location back in 2015, we saw an opportunity in Stratford. Dr. DeJesus had gotten his FICOI (Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists) alongside Dr. Goodkind, who was a trusted member of the community and had built up a loyal patient base in the area. When the time came for Dr. Goodkind to sell his Stratford office, Dr. DeJesus jumped on the opportunity, with the promise to ensure the same commitment to quality service for years to come. While the Stratford office was later relocated to the current location in Shelton, many of Dr. Goodkind’s original patients have continued with the practice through the years. DeJesus Dental Group is proud to serve the Shelton community and enjoys being a part of such a welcoming and growing area.
The Ultimate Location in Shelton
Moving to the current location in Shelton allowed DeJesus Dental Group to expand our reach and further serve the community. Located just next to the Sports Center of Connecticut and about a mile from Sikorsky, the office is easy to find and access by all modes of transportation. Additionally, this location is located on the first floor with no stairs, making it easily accessible for all patients. There is always the added benefit of being just across the street from Donut Crazy, but just be sure to brush afterward!

Community Involvement in Shelton, CT
DeJesus Dental Group is not only committed to serving Shelton residents in the office. Over the years, we have taken that service out into the community as well. Every February, we celebrate Kid’s Oral Health Month by bringing a team of our staff to local schools to educate students on healthy habits. We have also offered free oral health screenings for the local community and have collected winter coats and other items to keep Shelton citizens safe and warm in the winter.
Knowing there is a strong history of athletics in this community, we have also provided athletes in the past with free mouthguards to keep those smiles safe during the game. Dr. DeJesus is an avid sports fan himself and has coached several local teams and sponsored others such as the Shelton American and National Little Leagues, Shelton Flag Football, and Shelton Youth Cheer.
