Bridgeport Dentist Receives AGD Mastership Award

Mastership_Award_Pic_sizedThe Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that Phillip J. DeJesus, DDS, MAGD, of Bridgeport, CT, received the association’s Mastership Award during the AGD 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, which took place June 26 to 29 in Detroit.
The Mastership Award is the AGD’s highest honor and one of the most respected designations within the profession.  To earn this award Dr. DeJesus completed 1,300 hours of continuing education.
As a Mastership Award recipient, Dr. DeJesus joins more than 2,300 active AGD Masters who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients’ oral health.
“This award requires an extraordinary amount of time and effort,” says AGD President W. Carte Brown, DMD, FAGD. “Dr. DeJesus should be commended for his unflagging commitment to continuing education, which allows him to provide the best possible dental care and oral health education to his patients.”
Dr. DeJesus graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1992. He is a former Chief resident and attending at St. Barnabas in New York City. He currently practices dentistry in Bridgeport. He and his wife, Kim, have 4 children, Phillip John, Joseph, Nicolas and Isabella.
